Chad Lanphierd
Board Member
Chad Lanphierd is the CEO of Total Freedom HVAC (also known as Lanphierd Heating & Cooling). With 25 years of dedicated experience in the HVAC industry, Chad has built a reputation for reliable and affordable customer-focused solutions. He also leads B&L Integrated Systems, an intellectual property holding company. Before transitioning to entrepreneurship, Chad spent 17 years in nuclear maintenance, bringing a strong foundation in technical precision and safety.
Chad has been involved in work and witness projects through church organizations for over 27 years. Since 2022, he has been volunteering with Freedom From Within in prisons and jails across Illinois. Through this work with Freedom From Within, he has come to realize that incarcerated individuals have tremendous potential for transformation and discovering their highest purpose when given guidance rooted in faith, accountability, and practical life skills. They are not defined by the mistakes that led them to prison — through Christ they are all capable of profound change, growth, and positive contributions to their communities upon release. Serving alongside them has been a profound privilege and a source of deep personal and spiritual growth for Chad. He recognizes that, with different circumstances, any of us could find ourselves in similar situations.
Chad is married to his wife, Alexis, and they have two children. -
